About
The Cluster of Bioeconomy and Environment of Western Macedonia (CluBE) is a non-profit company established under the Greek Law among local actors and stakeholders of the Region of Western Macedonia. After being legally established in February 2014 as a non-for-profit association, the cluster currently includes 34 triple helix members covering the public sector, academia and the business sector, including wood companies, forest and agricultural cooperatives, etc. Regarding urban wastes CluBE has a strong collaboration with two of its members, the Waste Management Company of Western Macedonia (DIADYMA SA) and the Municipalities of the region through the Regional Association of Municipalities of Western Macedonia.
Role in the project
CluBE as a triple helix cluster will coordinate all its relevant members and regional key stakeholders in all HOOP activities bringing together all the regional Municipalities, the Regional Authority of Western Macedonia, the Waste Management Company of Western Macedonia along with the business sector in order to foster investments and implement regional projects to valorise urban biowaste and waste water through the PDA.
