The European legal framework, in particularly on environmental issues, greatly affects local and regional authorities, which are often obliged to contribute to the achievement of legal targets and deadlines. Moreover, over the last years, the Green Deal and subsequent changes in the European environmental law have brought enormous challenges for municipalities and regions.
As part of the European Week of Regions and Cities, HOOP partner ACR+ and Municipal Waste Europe are organising an event to present two tools that can help municipalities or regions to turn the law into practical achievements through cross-border cooperation programmes, both funded by the European Commission: TAIEX EIR Peer-to-Peer and the HOOP Network. With a focus on waste management and bioeconomy, this is a unique opportunity to learn what the benefits of these projects are and how to apply for them.
The members of the HOOP Network of Cities and Regions are encouraged to register for the session. For the members of the HOOP Network, all the travel costs (hotel, flight/train tickets, food) are covered by the project. If you are interested, get in contact with ACR+ (sli@acrplus.org) by 25 September.
