The next Biowaste Club will be held in the city of Albano Laziale on 16 December 2021, from 15:00 to 18:00 (CET). This is a format used by the eight HOOP lighthouse cities for carrying out participatory processes in order to valorise and recover urban biowaste and wastewater resources through the production of bio-based products. It will be an hybrid event, at the Castelli Romani Auditorium, in Piazza Salvo D’Acquisto (Cecchina / Albano Laziale) and also available online in Italian.
The meeting is entitled “The role of the companies of Albano Laziale and the circular economy: innovation in waste management. Bio Waste Club in Albano Laziale”. During the meeting, the strengths of the city of Albano Laziale will be illustrated, including the ongoing construction of the “Reuse Island” and the prospects for the bioeconomy; the new municipal composting plant and the pilot action for the optimization of the organic waste collection system in the HORECA sector, as well as the prospects for the pay-as-you-throw waste fees project. The appointment will also be an opportunity to dialogue with businesses and citizens on the opportunities, technologies and best practices in Europe related to the enhancement of organic waste and the urban bioeconomy.
